At the door of the Olivos Clinic and in front of countless journalists present, Dr. Leopoldo Luque provided news about Diego Armando Maradona’s health status, after surgery for subdural edema that was performed on Tuesday night. The neurosurgeon pointed out that “Diego’s evolution proceeds without any complications.”
The personal physician of the LP Gymnastics coach went on to state that Diego “He is without any complications, he has an excellent post-operative period”.
In addition, he reported that “the laboratory parameters improved, which was the anemia that had stabilized those parameters.”
He also pointed out that Maradona’s drainage was removed and indicated that “Diego is on analgesia, we are trying to make him recover progressively. They are decisions of the therapy doctors that we agree on and we are working on the same line ”.
On the other hand, Luque stated that “Diego’s evolution is day by day. In principle, today he will continue in intensive care and we will see at what moment with the doctors we perform a control tomography and that will depend on the evolution. For now that evolution is favorable ”.
The neurosurgeon doctor also indicated that “when we removed the drain he looked at me, he squeezed my hand. The first impression of the mood is that it is favorable, but it is difficult to evaluate ”.
When asked if Maradona will suffer any sequelae from this surgery, the doctor was blunt and stated that “we do not think about sequelae.”
