Three members of the rugby team from Fiji tested positive for COVID-19 at their base in France as they prepare for the Nations Cup, the Union’s executive director told his country’s television on Monday.
The players were isolated from the rest of the team, who continued training at his base in Limoges, John O’Connor told Fiji here Broadcasting Corporation.
The Fiji Rugby Union did not comment further. O’Connor said none of the three players had shown any symptoms.
The team underwent studies after being assembled in France and will study twice a week.
Fiji is scheduled to play Portugal in a preparation match on Friday before your first crash of the Nations Cup against France on November 15. They will play Italy on November 21 and Scotland on November 28 before a final match on the first weekend of December.
