Matías Morla, Diego Armando Maradona’s lawyer, said this Wednesday, at the gates of the hospital where El Diez is admitted, that despite the fact that the ex-footballer “had perhaps the hardest moment of his life”, now “those dangers have disappeared” and “there is Maradona for a while”.
“Diego had perhaps the hardest moment of his life, I think it was a miracle that that spill was detected in his head that could have taken his life”The lawyer told the press outside the Olivos Clinic, in the province of Buenos Aires, where on November 3 he was operated on for a brain hematoma and from where he is expected to be discharged this Wednesday.
For Morla, “Thank God those dangers disappeared” after “the great intervention” of Dr. Leopoldo Luque -neurosurgeon and Maradona’s family doctor-, “because he detected that in time.”
“The same studies had been carried out in September, (but) as a result of doing them again, he detected that and, as we well know, the result was optimal. Diego is whole, Diego wants to rehabilitate himself due to other personal problems he has”, declared.
Morla pointed out that the intervention of the psychiatrist was also “very important” for this case.
“The good thing is that Diego is whole, he is firm, there is Maradona for a while. What is needed now is a family union and being surrounded by health professionals. And Diego will be with the doctors and the family as he has to be, that Diego has to be happy and we have to return together the love and happiness that he gave us, “said the lawyer.
As he added, In the house where the current coach of Gymnastics and Fencing La Plata, who is 60 years old and has a long history of health problems and addictions, will be transferred, a list will be placed on the door with all the people and relatives authorized to visit to ‘Fluff’.
“Diego is going to decide who he wants to see and when he wants to see him”, he asserted, and clarified that when referring to the “family union” the situation “is clear”: “Be at peace with your relatives and that they respect each other. You have to give them peace, union, be all together.”
“Here we have a common good that is above all that is the health of Diego Armando Maradona,” he stressed.
Although after the intervention, Maradona showed his intention to leave the hospital, he could be persuaded to stay to recover from the “withdrawal condition” that the ex-star presented.
