Nadia Podoroska returned to the circuit this Wednesday, November 11, after her dream of Roland Garros in which she reached the semifinals. In her debut in the WTA in Linz, the Rosario beat Romanian Irina Begu 6-4, 6-4.
Podoroska broke at 5-4 of the first set and in the second managed to reverse the break at the beginning of the set. Argentina, in her Top 50 presentation, faced her doubles partner in the tournament and managed to come out airy.
In the round of 16, Podoroska will face the Italian (daughter of Argentine) Camila GIorgi who was champion of the tournament in 2018. Giorgi has just beaten Sara Sorribes Tormo 6-3, 5-7 and 6-4. The record between Podoroska and the Italian (75th in the world) is 1-0 up for the 2020 Roland Garros semifinalist.
