Autumn Nations Cup: Ireland achieved a hard-fought victory against Georgia

Ireland exceeded 23 to 10 a Georgia to close Zone A of Autumn Nations Cup. Those of the clover already knew that they were playing without chances to aspire to the grand final of the tournament, but they still showed a good level.

Billy Burns opened the scoring by supporting a try, after several offensive phases of his team. He himself converted and closed the seven-point play. In turn, he contributed two penalties to make clear the superiority over Georgia.

The Lelos had their consolation prize with Kveseladze’s incredible try: the center took the ball, advanced with sheer speed and power and no one could stop him. Thus, they scored again after 200 minutes of play without doing so.

The green answer was not long in coming and Hugo Keenan reached the rival ingoal to close the first half with the partial 20 to 7 in favor of his selected team.

The second half did not have many emotions … Just a penalty shootout on both sides for the final 23 to 10, a clear demonstration that the match was a real battle in contact.

France got the first place in Zone B and will have to face England, leader of Zone A, an attractive duel that will take place on December 6 and that will determine the champion of the competition. The third and fourth places will be played between Ireland and Scotland, while Wales and Italy define the fifth. Georgia took sixth place due to the inability of Fiji to play the match. These last matches will be played on December 5.
