(EFE) – Defensa y Justicia entered the quarterfinals of the Copa Sudamericana, a phase in which they will collide with Bahía, by defeating Vasco da Gama 1-0 as a visitor.
Defense and Justice had given up 1-1 at home the previous week and today they achieved their first victory in Brazilian territory, which they will have to visit again to face Bahia in Salvador. The only goal of the match was scored by Gabriel Hachen.
Those led by Portuguese coach Ricardo Sá Pinto needed to equal 0-0, at least to seal their classification.
Vasco da Gama felt the casualties by Covid-19 of the Argentine striker Germán Ezequiel Cano and the Brazilians Wérley and Fellipe Bastos.
