Velez Sarsfield issued an official statement on the situation of the four footballers of the club who were at a clandestine party that culminated in a complaint of sexual abuse.
The Liniers club determined that Thiago Almada, Ricardo Centurión, Juan Martin Lucero and Miguel Brizuela do not travel to Paraná, for the match against Patronato for the Diego Maradona Cup.
In addition, the footballers will give testimonial statements to collaborate with the cause as witnesses.

Given the facts of public knowledge, the Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield communicates that:
The institution immediately made itself available to the victim for this serious event, as well as to the Justice, making contact from the Legal Area with the San Isidro Gender Prosecutor’s Office, which is in charge of Dr. Laura Zyseskind.
No player from the professional team has been denounced or charged in the pertinent case, at the time of raising this communication.
Justice will take testimonial statements from the soccer players Miguel Brizuela, Thiago Almada, Ricardo Centurión and Juan Martin Lucero, to collaborate with the cause as witnesses.
Notwithstanding this, the players will not be taken into account for tomorrow’s match against Patronato, for the sixth date of the Diego Maradona Cup.
The Club will continue to be at the disposal of the Justice and provide the corresponding follow-up to the case.
A 28-year-old woman reported sexual abuse at a party held at a home on the Country Camino Real that Juan Manuel Lucero rents. Centurión, Almada and Brizuela are mentioned in this case.
