The WTA announced the winners of the awards granted by the association for what was done in 2020. And the great news is that Nadia Podoroska kept one of them, the one from “Breakthrough of the Year.”
The Rosario had been nominated after a great task in the return of the post-pandemic circuit reaching the Roland Garros semis and remaining in the Top 50 of the world ranking.
The 23-year-old had started out of the top 250 in the world and ended the season as world number 48.
Among other awards, Polish Iga Swiatek, the executioner of Podoroska in Paris, won the award for the player who grew the most during the year.
