Saint Petersburg will once again be an ATP 250

He traded and tried in every possible way but eventually the St. Petersburg Open will once again be an ATP 250 category tournament, after this past year it was considered an ATP 500 modality.

“The decision to award the ATP 500 category to the Saint Petersburg tournament was made exclusively for the year 2020”, quoted a source from the tournament’s organizing committee.

Weeks ago, the tournament director, Alexander Medvedev, announced that they would work to try to keep the category permanently but what happened in all of 2020. An abnormality.

The last champion was the local Andrey Rublev, with a superlative level from end to end, who surpassed Borna Coric in the definition by 7-6 (5) and 6-4.
