The Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde and Dani Carvajal completed with the rest of the squad the last training session before the Madrid derby between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid, of which the injured Eden Hazard, Martin Odegaard, Mariano Díaz and Luka Jovic were absent.
Zidane recovers two important players from his team and must decide, after this practice, if he sees Valverde and Carvajal in a position to play the derby.
The Uruguayan he was injured on November 8 and a month later he is fully recovered from the cleft of the tibial spine that he suffered in his right leg. For the second day in a row, Valverde completed training with the group in the sports city of Valdebebas, to be ready for the return.
Another novelty in the group dynamics was Carvajal, who on Thursday had worked individually, as he tested himself in a session that will determine his presence in the derby. Despite having been called up for the European event against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Zidane decided not to force his return due to the risk of a muscle relapse in a high intensity match.
The Madrid coach counted on the training with the youth squad Sergio Arribas, while the injured Hazard, Odegaard, Mariano and Jovic continued with their recovery plans without options of reaching the confrontation against Atlético de Madrid.
