The North American won the Puerto Plata Open PGA Tour Latin America and achieved a score of 258, -26 under par, while the best Dominican was Juan José Guerra

Brandon matthews, a native of Pennsylvania, won the award for $ 31,500 dollars like champion of the Puerto Plata Open PGA Tour Latin America which took place from December 17 to 20 in the Dominican Republic.

Matthews was escorted by Jacob Bergeron, with a score of 263 strokes, -21 under par, while third place was Conner Godsey with -20 under par with 264 clubs, in the tournament where the president Luis Abinader handed the cup.

“I want to thank the president Luis Abinader and all the staff of the field for making this great event possible, we had an extraordinary week and congratulated each one of the players ”, said Matthews upon receiving his trophy, while President Luis Abinader appreciated the good work that the organizing team did and predicted the success of the “many innovative and different projects” that will come in 2021 for the province of Puerto Plata.

Among the Dominicans who saw action the best was Juan Jose Guerra who during his four rounds of action landed 268 hits, while Willy pumarol the fair finished with 275. The event that reached its fourth edition distributed a purse of $ 175 thousand dollars in prizes, among the participants.
