The Real Madrid coach, Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, is isolated and in quarantine after he was in direct contact with a positive for COVID-19, so he could miss the match against Osasuna if he is infected.
According to information from the Jugones de La Sexta program, Zizou did not direct the session of the Real Madrid first team this morning while waiting to know the result of the PCR test to which he was subjected.
The Frenchman went to Valdebebas to undergo a PCR test and another for antigens. The Madrid coach tested negative for the rapid antigen test but is still waiting for the result of the PCR test, which would reveal if he is infected.
The LaLiga protocol establishes that, although he tests negative in PCR, Zidane should wait three days until he undergoes a new test and that tests negative.
Zidane may miss Saturday’s match against Osasuna, on which the threat of suspension due to the storm hangs (the forecasts indicate that on Saturday it will be snowing all day in Pamplona), and also the semifinal of the Spanish Super Cup that Madrid will play next Thursday the 14th against Athletic Bilbao in Malaga.
