As in January 2020, The Pumas Seven will start the preseason in Pinamar, starting next Monday the 11th. After a year marked by the stoppage of the pandemic and the postponement of the Olympic Games, the selected one starts the year again with an eye on Tokyo. However, there is still a long way to go.
In the previous one, Head Coach Santiago Gómez Cora tells of his feelings:
“The objective of the preseason is more rugby than physical. The physical part is necessary to continue working, but it is different from other years. Now it is 80% technical: we have to adjust some new attack concepts that we wanted to implement in Chile and that had some shortcomings ”.
“There is a very good group, quite heterogeneous. We have 34 players like Revol and 20 like Moneta. That’s very good for the team’s legacy and what Los Pumas Seven are. The gaming experiences and so many things lived are always good to share ”.
“In Tokyo we try not to think so much. It is our goal, but we set ourselves short goals: we seek to enjoy the journey but that it mobilizes us to finish each week healthy, incorporate new concepts and do all the technical and physical exercises ”.
