The comic of ‘The boxer’ is a creation of Ruben del Rincon and Manuel Carot, two authors with more than 15 years of experience drawing and making comics, both in the national and international markets.
This graphic novel created in Spain and edited by Editions the Dome, tells the story of two fighters who will have to face many adversities to achieve their dream, although only one of them will be able to win.
Rafa is a young man with no family, no past and apparently no future. A man with the simple need to survive.
The other protagonist is called Hector And he has everything, he is a gifted man who is bored because he has already laid out the whole path.
Both will find in boxing a way to shout and claim what is theirs, they will travel very different paths to achieve this goal.
So much Rafa as Hector they have a lot of depth and the story pays a lot of attention to the relationship with their parents.
In the comic of He Boxer you will find a very careful job of creating characters and settings. And what is surprising about this work are the two styles of drawing that merge in a fascinating way.
Both authors know how to transfer to paper that unique action that is experienced in boxing, but above all to the characters, to the stage like a drama in history.
The comic is made in two-tone (red and black). Undoubtedly a strong and raw style in each vignette that is read of this story.
Script and drawing blend perfectly in this creation that is an ambivalent combination of two passionate about creation, where this art is as strong and agile as the best boxing techniques that we have seen throughout its history and in different scenarios.
This comic can be found and purchased on Amazon for 27.55 euros (568 Mexican pesos).
