Hugo dellien lost in the last round of qualifying for Australian Open before Carlos Alcaraz. But the Bolivian received good news: he is one of two lucky losers who will be in Melbourne.
The latest main draw casualties (John Isner, Cristian Garin) opened the possibility for Dellien to participate in the main draw of the first Grand Slam of 2021.
Ranked 111th in the ranking, Dellien is 27 years old and became 72nd in the world at the beginning of 2020. It will be his second participation in Australia, after having played in 2020: his debut (and farewell) was against Rafael Nadal.
