Argentine hooker Julián Montoya “will not travel to Australia due to unforeseen circumstances,” reported the Western Force club. The club had announced its hiring during the last Three Nations, to join the Super Rugby from that country.
However, the team’s message regarding Montoya was terse and provided only those reasons to explain the hooker’s decision.. He simply added that the rest of the Argentine players on the team, Santiago Medrano Tomás Lezana, Domingo Miotti and Tomás Cubelli, will start training at Foce HQ next week.
He Montoya’s future could be in England’s Leicester, where several compatriots also play: Facundo Gigena, Tomás Lavanini, Matías Moroni and Joaquín Díaz Bonilla. Will the hooker be the fifth Argentine for the Tigers?
