Real Madrid confirm that they return Luka Jovic on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt

MADRID – Luka Jovic will play on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt until June 30 with the intention of looking for the minutes he is not having at Real Madrid.

Both clubs made the loan official on Wednesday morning.

“Real Madrid CF and Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed the loan of player Luka Jović until the end of this season,” the white club confirmed in a statement.

As ESPN has learned, the interest of the German club comes from the summer, but Madrid then rejected the request due to lack of personnel and treasury to undertake the signing of a replacement of guarantees.

Jovic returns to the team that allowed him to make the jump to Real Madrid for 60 million euros. In the 2018/19 season, the forward scored 27 goals that served to attract the attention of Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid itself.

However, Jovic has had neither a good performance nor the regularity that he himself asked Zidane to show the level he showed in the Bundesliga. In fact, in this year and a half, the Serbian has barely started in eight games and has only scored two goals, against Leganés and Osasuna.

Zidane came to his defense repeatedly in the face of criticism for his behavior both on and off the pitch. The French coach even went so far as to publicly admit that he expressly requested his signing after his great season at Eintracht but the truth is that in recent times even Mariano seemed ahead of the Serbian in his preferences.

In this way, Zidane has given the green light for the Serbian to resume his good feelings at the club where he most enjoyed, despite the fact that the whites will be left with only two specific forwards such as Benzema and Mariano for the second round of the season.
