According to the Motorsport.com newspaper, the video game will be released in mid-2021, and will feature a multitude of game modes. It will be in the open world, meaning that the pilots will be able to get lost in the vast Arab desert or in the wide stone fields. In addition, it will be released for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox X Series, Xbox One and PC.
Another game mode will be online. Every driver who dares to start the Dakar Rally adventure will be able to play with other competitors virtually. The layout is completely designed with original sources from the roadbooks used by drivers such as Stéphane Peterhansel, Nani Rome and Carlos Sainz.
The last edition of the game of the most difficult race in the world was that of 2018, which crossed Peru, Bolivia and Argentina. They also commented that in the 2021 edition there will be more diversity of pilots and twice that in the last installment. As for the layouts, they will be on a scale of 1:25 – this means that five actual kilometers will be one in the game.
