After what was his last appearance in the Autumn Nations Cup final with England last month, Billy Vunipola returned to a playing field, this time in what was the fall of Saracens before Ealing Trailfinders by 27 to 26.
Two tries by Alun Walker and one by Angus Kernohan, were the conquests that gave Ealing the victory, in the friendly duel for the first match of the Trailfinders Challenge Cup, ahead of what will be the start of the Championship in March.
Billy Vunipola, who had not added minutes since the final of the Autumn Nations Cup with England, played the entire match, but could not give the victory to his team in the opening game of the preseason. The eighth was the only player of the English national team who had minutes this weekend.
