As the legal process continues to force Tyson fury to a third fight, Deontay Wilder would be in negotiations to stay active and fight with the former world champion Charles Martin in the spring of 2021.
“If we cannot make the fight with Fury, Deontay needs to be active, “he said Shelly Finkel, handler Wilder, in an interview for Sports Illustrated. “If the worst case scenario occurs, we will be prepared to return it to the ring.”
Chris Mannix, of Sports illustrated, reported that according to confidential sources, it is Charles Martin the fighter who is looking to face Wilder. AND Finkel confirmed that it is one of the names that are contemplated.

Martin was briefly world heavyweight champion of the FIB when he knocked out Vyacheslav Glazkov on January 16, 2016. Then, at his first title show three months later, Martin was knocked out by Anthony Joshua, which was thus crowned for the first time.
Finkel assured that the legal process continues to force Tyson fury to a third fight with Deontay Wilder. It was originally agreed to use a mediator to try to reach an agreement. However, Finkel points out that the English team did not want to meet with the mediator. Therefore, the next step is to apply to take the case to arbitration, which would take place in the next two weeks.
“We will do everything we can,” he said. Finkel. “I am realistic with what I am faced with. We have an agreement. Even though we didn’t have an agreement, we gave two chances to Fury.
