At least 25 people were arrested this Saturday in some altercations caused by groups of fans of the Olympique Marseille (OM) who stormed the club’s facilities to demand the resignation of the management.

The Police Prefecture indicated in its Twitter account that 300 fans violently attacked the agents who had been deployed to protect the La Commanderie compound.

The Prefecture added that the “immediate dispatch of reinforcements” to stop the destruction. The forces of order had proceeded to the arrest of 25 people until that moment.

In some images released by local media you could see how Groups of hooded men with flares threw different objects into the complex, where some of them managed to penetrate.

With their cries they asked, in particular, the departure of President Henri Eyraud, a few hours before the match between OM and Rennes is played.

This outburst of anger comes a day after the coach, André Villas-Boas, dropped that he does not aspire to renew his contract when the season ends due to poor results.

Marseille occupies the sixth position in the table of the French first division, 14 points behind the leaders, Lyon, although they have played two fewer games.
