Argentina beat Uzbekistan in an entertaining friendly

Argentina beat Uzbekistan 1-0 at the State Stadium of the Uzbekistan Sports Complex, located in the Yunusabad District of the city of Tashkent,

This was the first of the two friendlies scheduled to take advantage of the international window and recover the ground that the Covid pandemic made them lose to all the teams that in September 2020 should have played the World Cup of the discipline in Lithuania.

The team led by Matías Lucuix planted well near the goal of the local team, not allowing the Uzbek team to circulate the ball. With the first goal accomplished, he removed the width of the court as much as he could, appealing a lot to one on one on the wing, especially when Angel Claudino or Lucas Avellino stepped on the court. Thus came the advantage, a deep ball that the Barcelona pivot (playing on loan in Palma de Mallorca) Matías Rosa fantastically resolved on a tile to avoid the rival and assist Lucas Bolo, who pushed it to the goal.

Argentina was able to increase twice, the first a break from Claudino on the right and his shot hit the base of the near post and the other, a sixth free kick by Lucho Avellino, who also hit the post. The only clear one from Uzbekistan was a heads-up that Lucas Farach covered very well and on the rebound Lucho Avellino on the goal line, cleared for a corner.

In the second part the tonic of the party was maintained. The Spanish army contributed its own, with the skill of the Inter Movistar man, Luquitas Trípodi and the young Barcelona B, Santiago Rufino and with the intelligence and dedication of the enormous Alan Brandi of Jaén Paraiso.

About the end Uzbekistan tried to use the goalkeeper player, but Argentina knew how to maintain the difference.

The National Team will play tomorrow the second friendly with the Asian National Team, and in this way it will take advantage of the first FIFA window of the year 2021, after having played its last match on February 9, 2020 in Carlos Barbosa, in the final of the South American Qualifying, in which he became champion, defeating Brazil 3-1.
