Francisco Cerúndolo (141 °) is the first invited to contest the main draw of the Córdoba Open 2021, ATP 250 which opens the South American tour on brick dust and already has its entry list.
The 22-year-old tennis player will seek to consolidate the great closing of last year, which included the titles in the Challengers of Split, Guayaquil and Campinas. Now he seeks to achieve his first triumph in the major circuit since at the moment he has two defeats, both in Buenos Aires.
His brother Juan Manuel (332 °) also received an invitation from the Córdoba Open organization. The 19-year-old left-hander joins Nicolás Kicker as he will contest the classification (with a list also published) with the illusion of releasing his name in a main draw at the ATP level. The best performance of his career came at the 2019 Montevideo Challenger, with wins against Pablo Cuevas and Facundo Bagnis and losing to Federico Delbonis in the semifinals.
