Cobras, the franchise that will represent Brazil in the SLAR

The Brazilian Rugby Confederation confirmed that Cobras will be the franchise that will represent Brazil in a new edition of the American Rugby Super League, which will take place between March 16 and May 15.

In this way, the team will replace Corinthians, a franchise that was part of the last edition of the contest, and for this season CBRu chose to create a new team to be the only one in Brazil to participate in international tournaments.

Felipe Sancery, captain of the squad, referred to this issue: “We are happy with the baptism of the franchise. National rugby is undergoing a renewal process and we have great challenges at the beginning of the year. We are doing our part, training hard, advancing every week, to win with Cobras and honor our country in all competitions, “he said.

Thus, The six franchises that will contest the SLAR were defined: Cobras (Brazil), Jaguares XV (Argentina), Cafeteros Pro (Colombia), Selknam (Chile), Olímpia (Paraguay) and Peñarol (Uruguay).
