ATP 250: this is the panorama of the Melbourne tournaments

After a Thursday without activity and a Friday with pure tennis, the weekend will be defined both ATP 250 preparatory to the Australian Open: the Great Ocean Road and the Murray River Open.

At the Great Ocean Road Open there will be a semi-final with two surprises and another with two favorites.
Thiago Monteiro, defeated the young promise Carlos Alcaraz first and then beat local Jordan Thomson 6-4, 6-4 and will play against Stefano travaglia. The Italian beat two seeded players on the same day: first Bublik (8th) and then hit one of the tournament’s blows by beating third-seeded Hurkacz 3-6, 6-3, 7-5. The Pole eliminated Uruguayan Pablo Cuevas in the round of 16.

Three of the top four seeders were eliminated at the Murray River Open:
Stan Wawrinka (1st) won his match against Alex Bolt and then did not show up to play against Jeremy chardy, who reached the semifinals.
