Cristiano, Sergio Ramos, Messi and Neymar, the best players of the decade for the IFFHS

Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo, currently at Juventus, and his former Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos have been considered the best players of the UEFA decade by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS), while Argentine Leo Messi (Barcelona) and the Brazilian Neymar, also a former Blue and now at PSG, have been the best in CONMEBOL.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who has already become the top scorer in football history, precedes Ramos and Manuel Neuer, Bayern Munich goalkeeper on this institution’s list.

Meanwhile, Messi and Neymar lead the CONMEBOL table ahead of another ex-Barcelona player, the Brazilian Dani Alves.

At the female level, the best players in UEFA are Germany’s Dzenifer Marozsan, Norway’s Ada Hegerberg and France’s Wendie Renard; and from CONMEBOL the Brazilian Marta, Christiane and Formiga.

South Korean Heung Min Son tops the list for Asia ahead of Japan’s Keisuke Honda and Saudi Salem Al Dawsari; while Japan’s Homare Sawa, Samantha Kerr and Saki Kumagai lead the women’s list.

Egyptian Mohamed Salah leads the African table ahead of Senegalese Sadio Mane and Algerian Riyadh Mahrez, and the best player on this continent was Barcelona’s forward Asisat Oshoala.
