Carlos Alcaraz (141 °) who is born in the year 2003, became the first player born in that year to win a Grand Slam, same milestone that they harvested Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Nick Kyrgios, Novak Djokovic or Rafael Nadal.
Thanks to his triumph against Botic van de Zandschulp from the Netherlands in the first round of the Australian Open, the Spaniard became the first 2003 category tennis player to do so in a Grand Slam main draw. Other tennis players who have achieved it in recent years were: Jannik Sinner (Cat. 2001), Felix Auger-Aliassime (Cat. 2000), Alexander Zverev (Cat. 1997), Nick Kyrgios (Cat. 1995) and Grigor Dimitrov (Cat. 1991). The Italian did it against Max Purcell at the 2020 Australian Open, the Canadian against Vasek Pospisil at Wimbledon 2019, the German against Teymuraz Gabashvili at Wimbledon 2015, the Australian against Radek Stepanek at Roland Garros 2013 and the Bulgarian against Andrey Golubev at the 2011 Australian Open.
In addition to all of them, two of the best tennis players in history also did the same with their respective categories: Rafael Nadal (Cat.1986) and Novak Djokovic (Cat.1987). His first victories came against Mario Ancic at Wimbledon 2003 and Robby Ginepri at Roland Garros 2005 respectively.
