Jerome Boateng’s ex-girlfriend, model Kasia Lenhard, was found dead in Berlin, which has forced the Bayern Munich central defender to anticipate his return to Germany from Qatar, where the European champion will play the club World Cup final on Thursday, according to various German media.
“It has affected us all a lot,” said coach Hansi Flick when questioned about the reports.
“Jerome has asked me for permission to return and I have granted it,” explained Flick at the press conference.
The Berlin police have only confirmed that on Tuesday night she was called on suspicion of suicide to a house in the Charlotenburg neighborhood.
The police found a dead woman who, according to the media, would be Kasie Lenhard.
Lenhard was 25 years old and leaves a son. Her rise to fame came in 2012 when she ranked fourth on the “Germany Seeks the Next Supermodel” show, directed by former model Heidi Klum.
His name had returned to the fore in recent weeks after his separation from Boateng.
Lenhard had accused Boateng of infidelity and lying, which had sparked a battle in the media in which Boateng’s expos, Rebecca Oliveira also intervened.
