The South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) plans the dispute of a tournament of U21 teams that will be played in parallel to the qualifying rounds in the region for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Conmebol explained that it will deliver $ 30,000 to each of the ten member federations, through the Evolution Program, for logistics and the transfer of players to the countries where the matches will be played, which in turn intend to project new talents.
Each delegation will be made up of at least 16 youth players and will travel on the same flight as their main team.

The date chosen for the matches of the new Conmebol Evolución Sub’21 tournament will be played preliminary or one day before each match of the South American qualifying rounds.
The president of Conmebol, Alejandro Domínguez, has proposed, as part of his management at the head of Conmebol, that the South American teams once again conquer international tournaments.
