Forward Matías Suárez ended up with a muscular discomfort after River’s victory in the 32nd finals of the Argentine Cup.
On Wednesday night the Millionaire defeated Defensores de Pronunciamiento 4-0 and the forward did not come out to play the second half. Gallardo decided to remove him before the start of the first half to avoid increasing the annoyance.
As reported by Javier Gil Navarro in SportsCenter, Suárez suffered a muscle overload and studies will be carried out to find out if there is any injury.
River plays this Sunday at 9:30 p.m. for the 2021 Professional League Cup against Estudiantes de La Plata, at the Jorge Luis Hirschi Stadium.
