Joseph “Jo Jo” Diaz did not give the weight for his combat against Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov, for which he lost the super featherweight title of the FIB, upon reaching weighing 3.6 pounds above.

Jo Jo Diaz stopped the scale at 133.6 pounds at weigh-in, when the super featherweight division’s limit is 130 pounds. It was reported that he is not expected to weigh again this Friday, February 12, so the belt was removed. And it will only be available to Rakhimov, who would be crowned if he beats Diaz.
Joseph won the championship of the FIB on January 30, 2020, when he defeated by unanimous decision Tevin Farmer in Miami. Although there was a rematch clause, it expired so he was going to make his first defense against Shavkatdzhon.
For his part, the Russian boxer beat Azinga Fuzile on September 29, 2019 by TKO in the eighth round. That fight was eliminatory by the FIB, so he became the mandatory rival.
