Good Friday for Marcelo Gallardo: finally two reinforcements arrive at River Plate, because Agustín Palavecino and Héctor Martínez underwent a medical examination and, if there were no unforeseen events, they will sign a contract.
Palavecino arrived in the country on Friday morning, from Cali, and went to the Rossi clinic in the City of Buenos Aires.
Deportivo Cali explained in a statement that “It reached an agreement with the Atlético River Plate club for the transfer of the federative rights and 35% of the economic rights of Agustín Palavecino.”
The 24-year-old Argentine had asked Deportivo Cali coach, Uruguayan Alfredo Arias, not to line him up while waiting to be transferred to a foreign team.
Palavecino traveled to Buenos Aires on Thursday night and in the next few hours will be formally linked to the eleventh millionaire from Argentina.
River paid 1.8 million for 35% of the player’s pass that emerged in Platense. According to Deportivo Cali, in December of this year River Plate “may exercise the purchase option for an additional 30% of the economic rights“.
Palavecino played 60 games with Deportivo Cali and scored 15 goals, 2 of them in this league and the last against Boyacá Chicó.
Meanwhile, Héctor Martínez also joins with a loan, from Defense and Justice.
At 5:00 p.m. this Friday, both are expected to sign their respective contracts at the Monumental stadium.
JORGE CARRASCAL, FOR THE HIGH
Colombian Jorge Carrascal was also present at the Rossi Clinic to carry out the cardiological studies, after having been positive for COVID-19, but it is ruled out for Sunday against Estudiantes LP, for the League Cup.
Meanwhile, the swabs made to the campus were all negative.
