Pablo Pitu Barrientos announced his retirement from professional football on Thursday on social media.
The 36-year-old midfielder from San Lorenzo used his account Instagram to make your decision known because you feel that “the flame that each player brings inside, in me it went out”, he expressed.
Pitu, who developed his career in San Lorenzo, FC Moscow, Catania, Estudiantes LP, Toluca and Nacional de Montevideo, assured that he retires “happy”, because he gave his best and takes “great friends, unforgettable moments, joys, sorrows, injuries, teachings etc …”
Pitu was champion of the Argentina Cup and the CONMEBOL Libertadores Cup with San Lorenzo and also won two local titles from Uruguay with Nacional, where he played the 2019/20 season.
