The Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo reactivated Juventus Turin on Monday with a header double in the 3-0 win against bottom side Crotone in the game that closed the 23-day program, after the defeats suffered against Naples and Porto .
Cristiano put the comfortable triumph of Andrea Pirlo’s men on track with two powerful heads in 38 and 45, to the center of Brazilian Álex Sandro and Welshman Aaron Ramsey, which allowed him to regain command of the top gunners table with 18 goals, one more than the Belgian Romelu Lukaku.
The Portuguese forward ended a streak of three straight games without seeing the door and returned the victory to a Juventus that could not fail, after Inter Milan beat Milan this Sunday and escaped as leader eleven points away.
The victory was sentenced by American Weston McKennie at the restart. The former Schalke 04 player has already scored four goals in Serie A and is the most prolific midfielder in Andrea Pirlo’s team.
With the victory against Crotone, Juventus surpassed Roma in the standings and placed third, eight points behind the lead and with a game still to be played.
The Turin team must recover the match of the third day against Naples, postponed in October due to some cases of contagion by coronavirus in the Neapolitan team.
