Artur Beterbiev turned down an offer to fight Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez in 2019, as some reports said.

The news of Beterbiev and Canelo
Artur Beterbiev had agreed his contest with Adam deines for the past January 30. By testing positive for covid-19, the current champion of the World Boxing Council he had to postpone his first defense to March 20.
Beterbiev he carries with him a perfect record of 15 wins, all of them by knockout. He has not been formally presented since he beat Oleksandr Gvozdykon October 18, 2019. He is 36 years old, a relatively long-lived age for boxing.
For its part, Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez initialed his clash with Avni Yildirim, for next February 27. His last performance was on December 19, 2020, when he knocked out Callum smith and he stretched his numbers to 54 wins, 36 before the limit, one loss and two draws.
