Andrea Pirlo, coach of Juventus Turin, excluded this Friday that Argentine Paulo Dybala has to undergo surgery to solve the problem in the medial collateral ligament of the left knee that has prevented him from competing since last January 10.
“As for Dybala, we will study the situation with the medical body, there is no danger that he will have to operate. He had a check and now we will study the best way for him to return to the group, “said Pirlo at the press conference on the eve of the league match against Hellas Verona.
“We thought it would be somewhat lighter, instead the times lengthened,” he added, referring to the fact that initially it was estimated that Dybala would only need twenty days to recover.
La Joya injured his left knee in the January 10 game that his team beat Sassuolo and since then, despite making the UEFA Champions League list for last week’s game against Porto, he has not been able to play again.
He could only play 16 games and scored three goals: two in Serie A and one in the Champions League.
The Argentine will not be available this Saturday at the Bentegodi stadium for the appointment with Verona.
