Barcelona midfielder Pedri González suffers a muscle injury to his right leg, although the extent of it is unknown until new tests are carried out this Sunday, according to the Spanish club.
Pedri was injured in the 71st minute of the match against Sevilla (0-2) and everything points to a soleus injury. The canary withdrew from the pitch limping and upon arrival at the Barça team’s hotel he had to walk supported by crutches.
The midfielder was replaced by Ilaix Moriba, who had a decisive performance, as he assisted Leo Messi in the play that marked the final 0-2 in the 85th minute.
During the match against Sevilla Ronald Araujo was also injured shortly after leaving the pitch. The central defender had replaced Gerard Piqué, suffering from discomfort.
It so happens that the Uruguayan had not played since February 7 due to a sprained left ankle and this Saturday he had to retire for the same reason.
