Boca confirmed the worst news, Eduardo Salvio broke the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the match against Sarmiento and will be off the court for between six and eight months.
In the match played in La Bombonera, ‘Toto’ was moving the ball when a bad movement made with his knee move inside and remain on the floor waiting to be seen by doctors. The player withdrew from the court without being able to put his foot down and the club made the worst outcome for the attacker official.
Salvio has a long history of injuries with a lots of muscle problems and various ankle mishaps. The injuries became recurrent after Benfica suffered the rupture of his cruciate ligaments in his right knee twice, the first in August 2013 and the second in June 2015.
As the injury exceeds four months of recovery, Boca may incorporate a player in the next ten days. Xeneize will be able to hire him on a free basis, if he is from abroad, or the exception is opened for the local media, even if they have already signed a form for their team in any of the matches that were played.
