Campazzo al Rising Star: in the footsteps of Ginobili, Scola and Nocioni

Facundo Campazzo was recognized with enormous distinction in the NBA. The Denver Nuggets player is included among the Rising Stars, along with the best debutantes in the North American league. It is an exhibition match, like the All Star Game, but due to the strict protocol for COVID-19 it cannot be carried out. Like the Cordovan, three other Argentines took part in this event.

Emanuel Ginobili was the first to do it. In 2004, when he was part of the San Antonio Spurs, he played the match for those who were in their second season in the United States top division. In the meantime, from the other side of the court a certain LeBron James appeared for newcomers. The match ended 142-118 in favor of the Argentine.

Two years later it was the turn of Andres Nocioni. El Chapu, was present from the substitute bench and added 13 points for his quintet. On this occasion he was also consecrated with a 106-96 win.

By last, Luis Scola had two appearances on the Rising Star. The former Ferro played one for each team. The first was defeat in 2008 and only added four points. The following year, leaving the bank, added four for the victory of his team by 122-116.
