Djokovic beat Federer's record as No. 1

Novak Djokovic surpassed Roger Federer’s record in weeks as No. 1 in the ATP ranking on Monday– The Serb, who was No. 1 for the first time after Wimbledon 2011, reached 311 weeks at the top.

Djokovic, 33, has 12,030 points and his closest pursuer is Rafael Nadal with 9,850, although next week he will be overtaken by Daniil Medvedev.

Just this week, Federer fell to sixth place in the ranking at the hands of Stefanos Tsitsipas.

As for the Argentines, the one who grew the most in the ranking was Francisco Cerúndolo: the oldest of the brothers rose 25 places to reach 112th in the world rankings.
