Deshaun watson, star of the Houston Texans of the NFL, is going through three complaints for inappropriate behavior and sexual harassment. They were performed by three women masseurs, one of them this Thursday, according to US media. The Texas franchise has already launched an investigation into the allegations against the 25-year-old quarterback.
“We continue to take this and all matters involving anyone within the Houston Texans organization seriously,” the football franchise said in a statement, adding: “We do not anticipate making any additional statements until the investigation into the NFL ”. The lawsuit was filed in a Harris County, Texas, district court.
The complaint accuses Watson of forcing a masseuse to perform oral sex during treatment in Houston last December. Throughout this week, two other lawsuits were filed that point to the quarterback for harassing and inappropriately touching two other masseurs. The player publicly defended himself on Tuesday after the first lawsuit was made public in the country.
“As a result of a social media post by a plaintiff attorney seeking publicity, I recently became aware of a lawsuit that has apparently been filed against me,” the quarterback wrote on his official Twitter account. In addition, he added that he has not seen the complaint and that “I have never treated any woman with anything that is not the utmost respect.”
The player wanted to detach himself from the accusations and blamed the lawyer for wanting to “seek fame and money.” “The lawyer claims that it is not about money, but before filing the lawsuit he made an unsubstantiated request for a six-figure settlement, which I quickly rejected.” Watson is one of the emerging figures in the NFL and is looking to get the Texans to trade him to another franchise.
