The sports director of Celta de Vigo, Felipe Miñambres, confirmed this Saturday the interest of his team in the Colombian striker Rafael Santos Borré, who ends his contract with River Plate on June 31.
“At one point we were in contact with him to come but it couldn’t happen. Now he is in a different situation because the contract ends and he will surely have many offers, Try, we will try to sign him but another thing is where we can go ”, the head of the sports area commented to Movistar at halftime in the game against Real Madrid.
Borré, 25, played 129 games with the River shirt, in which he scored 46 goals and distributed 16 assists.
Signed in the summer of 2015 by Atlético de Madrid, a year later he left on loan to Villarreal, with whom he played 17 games in LaLiga, scoring two goals, before being signed by River in exchange for 50 percent of his federation rights, in exchange for 3.5 million euros.
