Gloucester announced that Santiago Socino signed a new contract with the club where he has as teammates Matías Alemanno and Santiago Carreras.
The Argentine joined Gloucester Rugby in early 2020, originally in a deal until the end of the season. However, after fitting in seamlessly at Kingsholm, the hooker has extended his stay at the Club.
Socino, a four-time caps for the Pumas, has made an immediate impact on Cherry & White, having made 6 appearances since his arrival, including a try in his first start at the Club.
The head coach George Skivington is glad Socino has adjusted so well.
“Santi has been a very good signing for us. He came in and committed to exactly what we’re trying to build here.
“He had to adapt pretty quickly, but I think his attitude was right. He has fitted into the team with ease, and we are all very happy that he is staying as we continue to develop the team for next season and beyond. “
