(EFE) – San Lorenzo de Almagro beat Rosario Central 2-0 on Friday at the opening of the eighth day of the Argentine Professional Soccer League Cup and got into the fight for qualification for the next instance.
The cyclone achieved its second victory in the tournament in a row thanks to goals from Franco Di Santo and Paraguayan Ángel Romero.
At the end of the game there were shoving and harsh infractions. In the last minutes Rosario Central played with nine due to the expulsions of Lautaro Blanco and Emiliano Vecchio.
With this result, the Cyclone was seventh in Zone A with eleven points, one behind Racing, which is fourth and occupies the last place in the classification for the next instance.
Colón leads Zone A with 19 points out of 21 possible, followed by three teams with twelve units: Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero, Banfield and Racing.
