(EFE) – Eintracht Fránkfut beat Borussia Dortmund 1-2 on Saturday, thanks to a goal from the Portuguese André Silva in the 87th minute that brings Adi Hüttter’s team closer to the UEFA Champions League and away from said goal to the team of the Croatian Edin Terzic.
With the victory, in the absence of seven days, Eintracht consolidates in fourth position and increases its advantage over Dortmund to seven points, which little by little have to become familiar with the idea of playing the Europa League next season unless they are May this Champions League win.
Eintracht took the lead in the 11th minute with an own goal from Nico Schulz, who headed the ball toward the goal as he tried to intercept a cross from Filip Kostic looking for André Silva.
Dortmund goal Manfred Hitz had no chance. Until that moment the game had had phases of control of both teams without clear arrivals.
In the 14th Kostic reappeared on the left with a cross that Silva headed in but Hitz got to the ball without problems. Then Dortmund tried to push and the Norwegian Erling Haaland had two good chances to draw. The first in the 21st minute with a shot that passed near the second post after a good pass to the area from Raphael Guerreriro and the second in the 25th when, after a pass from the Belgian Thorgan Hazard, he lost hand in hand against goalkeeper Kevin Trapp , which reacted with a foot stop.
The tie came shortly before the break on a corner kick taken by Marco Reus from the right. The ball hit Emre Can’s chest and the rebound was left to Mats Hummels, who volleyed from close range.
In the second half, Dortmund had the initiative most of the time but when Eintracht attacked it was dangerous and in a counterattack, in 81, Silva’s goal came to the center, again, from Kostic.
