Unstoppable. Hubert Hurkacz (37th) left Andrey Rublev (8th) on the road after a 6-3 and 6-4 and got into his first final in both the Miami Open and a Masters 1000. He will define the title against Jannik Sinner, who comes from battling against Roberto Bautista Agut.
From the first moment, the Pole displayed a better version than the Russian, somewhat unknown fundamentally with his right. The 23-year-old tennis player, fourth favorite and who had reached the semifinals of this tournament for the first time in his career, was not solid and paid dearly.
Hurkacz, for his part, showed a game based on speed, power and strength. Even the hour and 26 minutes on the track could have been even shorter. Hurkacz continues with an incredible positive streak and is in search of the third title of his career, the second in 2021.
In a match in which wind was the protagonist, the main difference was in the winners of the 37th in the world and in greater efficiency from the service.
In this way Hurkacz, who on the way left great tennis players like Stefanos Tsitsipas, Milos Raonic and Denis Shapovalov, will go in search of his first Masters 1000 title.
