Coria played the longest game of his professional career

Sardinia’s ATP 250 debut meant not only the start of the brick dust season for Federico Coria but that of a milestone in his career as a professional tennis player.

The defeat at the hands of John Millman by 7-6 (5), 3-6 and 6-3 in was the longest match he played. Three hours and 15 minutes of long and intense rallies in which none of the tennis players gave their arm to twist.

Those that follow:

190 minutes: victory over Gianluca Mager by 4-6, 7-6 (4) and 7-6 (4) in Santiago 2021.

177 minutes: victory over Corentin Moutet by 1-6, 7-6 (1) and 7-6 (3) in Rio 2020.

137 minutes: victory over Carlos Alcaraz 6-4, 4-6 and 6-4 in Rio 2020.
