A trial and a UAR clinic will be carried out in Comodoro Rivadavia

The staff of the selected M20 of the Argentine Rugby Union, represented by José Pellicena and Enrique Pichot, will carry out a series of activities in the city of Comodoro Rivadavia in Chubut, this Thursday from 10, on the premises of Calafate Rugby Club and with the presence of players, coaches and collaborators of the Austral Rugby Union.

In the first instance, Pellicena and Pichot will give an open talk for coaches from 17:30, related to the profile of the youth player and what his development process is like. Later, late at night in Chubut, there will be two matches between litters 2001-2002 and 2003-2004, respectively, with the aim of continuing to meet boys and what the reality of the region is like, and eventually that these players can become or participate in different concentrations. The young people were recommended by referents of the region.

Jose Pellicena, Head Coach of the M20 youth team: «The main objective is to get closer to the region, contact us and meet the coaches of the Austral Rugby Union. Being able to exchange ideas and concepts in both directions. That they can share with us what their reality is and we tell them about the work and the process of detecting players that we do at the youth level ”.

«The other point, beyond the specific talk at the Calafate Rugby Club, is to watch these matches of the four litters, to get to know the boys and eventually evaluate whether some players, whether due to technical or mental ability, stand out in these meetings, can have a national projection, based on our monitoring parameters, which are also accompanied by the human part.

«The reason for our visit to Comodoro Rivadavia is quite broad and that is why we are very enthusiastic. We know the quality of the players who have come out of this area.

Daniel Albarracin, President of the Austral Rugby Union: «The expectations are high because it is important that the UAR M20 staff see the work that is being done in the Austral Rugby Union. There are important players who have left this region and who today are figures in rugby in Buenos Aires and Córdoba. Hopefully they can take a great impression of our union ”.

“First, the seriousness, responsibility and desire that we put into each event that we have to organize” and secondly, if a couple of players who have already been seen in some youth concentrations can be carried in a folder, it would be much better. “
