Since he lost by unanimous decision to Bivol in March 2019, Smith, 31, defeated Jesse hart by split decision in January 2019, though clearly it should have been a unanimous decision, and then delivered a ninth-round knockout to Eleider Alvarez in August of the same year.
For its part, Vlasov dropped to light heavyweight in early 2019 and has quickly become one of the main contenders. In half a year, it surpassed Omar garcia, beat Isaac chilemba and defeated Emmanuel martey.
This duel has all the elements to become a great battle, where both boxers will seek by all means to be crowned world champion.
