Francisco Gorrissen, deputy captain of Jaguars XV, was sanctioned for three weeks by the American Rugby Super League for his expulsion in the match before Peñarol last Sunday, for the fifth date of the contest.
The player saw the card 36 minutes into the match, due to a dangerous contact on the head of an opponent with a high tackle. The Argentine declared and admitted his guilt, so it was decided to suspend him for three weeks.
This way, Gorrissen will not be able to play the tournament until the ninth date of the SLAR. The forward received this sanction by Law 9.16, which states that a player must not ram or knock down an opponent carrying the ball without trying to catch that player.
